Steve Loughran commented on MAPREDUCE-7234: ------------------------------------------- -1, with the reason being "yes, we agree its wrong, but its out in the wild and we are trapped" FileInputFormat is tagged as public/stable and we just can't change it. Not without breaking every custom input format which overrides it, or every application which also looks at the values (spark, hive, tez, ...) Sorry. We feel your pain, it irritates us all too much. But it's like most of the windows APIs: once you ship something broadly used, you are stuck with it. > Fix a typo in TextInputFormat.java > ---------------------------------- > > Key: MAPREDUCE-7234 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-7234 > Project: Hadoop Map/Reduce > Issue Type: Improvement > Environment: * JDK 1.8 > * Maven 3.3 or later > Reporter: Xu Bai > Priority: Trivial > Labels: Typo > > method *isSplitable* ---> isSplittable -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mapreduce-issues-unsubscr...@hadoop.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: mapreduce-issues-h...@hadoop.apache.org
