You need the dir that contains libprotobuf.so.7 on your LD_LIBRARY_PATH. For instance, if /usr/local/lib carries it, ensure you do: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/local/lib Before you run the maven build. -- Harsh J Customer Ops. Engineer, Cloudera
