Thanks for the update and together with the tickets in JIRA about 
ptolemy that I hadn't seen before, it makes much clearer whats going on 
and where things stand.

That would be great. A good understanding of what the core objectives 
are and thus which parts are needed would be very helpful in focusing 
efforts.

Just as ideas, but somethings that might be interesting to start with 
would be to e.g. move over the embeded OSM map in the german geohack 
from using the OSMF servers to wikimedias servers. As far as I know, the 
load generated on the OSM tile server from the geohack isn't 
particularly large, so I don't think it is a priority from OSMF's point 
of view, but it might still be a good test for the toolserver setup and 
it would be nice if other country's geohacks would follow and also 
directly include a OSM map. Another potentially nice use would be to 
include the OSM maps in the Wiki Mini Atlas as an additional source.

Both of those might be easier first steps than getting the maps plugin 
into a wikipedia.

But it will be interesting to hear what conclusions people will come to 
during the workshop.
