I'm afraid I did not catch that in the roundtable notes in
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wikimaps/Requirements. GeoJSON
was mentioned in discussions. Another point made was the need for a
dedicated GIS database and related hardware.

More essentially I wish to connect people from Wikimedia and Open
Historical Map who want to work out the properties for defining places over
time.
