IMHO the OSM.org editor (iD) is simple enough, for casual editing. If
you're looking for mass additions, it might be useful to look for
alternative methods: for instance, maybe it's comparatively easy to
patch the tile generator so that it fetches alternative names from
Wikidata when connected?
