I do have a proposed fix locally and I just need to prepare a pull request. Been sitting on it for some time now, just limited on time... I did have a couple of other small adds: 1. https://github.com/MapServer/MapServer/issues/6968 2. Adding some template tag capabilities for pass-through variables, similar to what's supported for item tags such as pattern matching and default values. The first one should be relatively easy and a nice add...
