Who can consult me, what to do, to obtain a working copy of mapserver on Sparc WITH GDAL?
Can I build GDAL with "--without-curl" option?
Without GDAL all is working fine, until sample 1.5 in tutorials :-)))

Which version of Curl do you have in /usr/sfw? The Curl docs suggest that CURLINFO_RESPONSE_CODE may have appeared only in version 7.10.7, see here:

  http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/curl_easy_getinfo.html

If your Curl is older than 7.10.7 then that could possibly explain the error. You could try to compile locally a more recent version, or build GDAL without curl.

I haven't tried building GDAL without Curl recently, but that should work since Curl is only needed for a few drivers that are not essential for MapServer.
