2.) Yes and No. In detail: 2a) If there is at most ONE straight line in the polygon, mapserver renders this polygon correct, even if there is a curved segement (arc) in the polygon. For example this is a church, which contains three arcs in the polygon (triple 11,2,2 and 31,2,2 and 51,2,2). This polygon is rendered correct.
