Sorry,
I should have written : it's not possible to use WFS in transactional
mode with MapServer.
Sure, you can write your own script with mapscript, but I think using
the OpenLayers UI, with the drawFeature control, it's easy and a common
practice.

In a small demo I wrote, I use MapServer as my WMS server to render
