Hi Iratxe, I've found that the limit on my maps is 2000 records. I store the points in a MySQL database and use PHP/MapScript to create the map so I don't know what sets this limit but 2000 points on a map seems fair enought for the average map. Unless you have a very big map it would quickly get too cluttered and difficult to read for the users.
