Hi, The attached images are from same map files (bluemarble imagery from http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/view.php?id=57752) .
1)Improper_Mapserver5.6.6.JPG the colours are not smooth,the picture is pixellated in Mapserver 5.6.6 2) Proper_Mapserver6.0.2.JPG the colours are smooth in Mapserver 6.0.2. How can I make the image show properly in 5.6.6, what makes the difference ? Tried using untiled images but the result is the same in 5.6.6.There could me some mapserver setting or preprocessing to be done on image files. Right now I am doing only this to get the final images. gdal_translate -co TILED=YES land_shallow_topo_8192.tif land_shallow_topo_8192_TILED.tif gdaladdo --config GDAL_CACHEMAX 1500 -r average land_shallow_topo_8192_TILED.tif 4 8 16 32 64 128 256 Also any know any better\more detailed sources for public domain atlas images,I am also using http://www.naturalearthdata.com/ as a source of data. Thanks in advance....I am planning to use Mapserver 5.6.6 because the Fusion JavaScript Client is compatible with 5.6.6. I am using ms4w for testing ,though final server will be on linux.
