I am also trying to use custom dimension in a WMS layer, but I am not able
to make it work. I am using ms4w and mapserver version 5.6. I get the time
dimension to work, but none of my custom variants has worked so far. My
sample WMS file:
METADATA
"ows_title" "skipshaler_dim"
"ows_srs" "EPSG:4326 EPSG:3575"
"wms_enable_request" "*"
"wms_dimensionlist" "SHIPTYPE"
"wms_SHIPTYPE_item" "skipskategori"
"wms_SHIPTYPE_extent" "1/13/1"
"wms_SHIPTYPE_units" "none"
"wms_SHIPTYPE_default" "2"
"default_SHIPTYPE" "2"
END
I cannot see this dimension in getCapabilites and the filter is not applied
when making map request.
Any idees to why this is not working?
