I got around this by drawing my own simple SYMBOL triangle. But the mystery
still remains!

Subject: [mapserver-users] font OUTLINE not working for all fonts in 6.2.0

Hi, all.

If I take the simple example like the one from the docs,

LABEL
  COLOR 150 150 150
  OUTLINECOLOR 0 0 0
  FONT "arial"
  TYPE truetype
  SIZE 6
  POSITION AUTO
  PARTIALS FALSE
END

I see a nice outline. But if I change the FONT to what I really want
(esri_cart), I don't see my outline anymore
(http://www.fonts2u.com/esri-cartography.font). I do see the symbol drawn in
150 150 150, though.

My MS production environment is 5.6.1, but I'm testing 6.2.0 now. Better late
than never. In any case, this particular font outlined just fine in 5.6.1 but
not here in 6.2.0, and I don't know truetypes enough to know what the issue
might be.

And here's the real kicker: I am after the arrowhead in the attachment (#182).
If I change my text to be #180, I *do* see the outline in 6.2.0. So what is
special about this bad boy?

TIA.
