Trond - Reprojecting to polar can be finicky at best. See https://github.com/mapserver/mapserver/issues/5348. The commit here might solve your particular problem: https://github.com/mapserver/mapserver/pull/5360/commits/bbfa86661216c370fa5e4860ca4d4a9efcbc3a7e
