Hi Vladimir, the fastest way is probably the CGI variant. You write your mapfiles and deliver the data via mapserv and the corresponding parameters. In the case of PHP you have to build a wrapper, which is no problem. If your server runs under windows, this is the better variant, because many firewalls close when you call mapserv.exe. When it comes to custom programming, the php (or python or C# or Java) variant has more influence. Fields of the tables contain styles(color, width etc) The goal is fast getting a single image(WMS) on client . I am aware about two ways to do it: mapserv as FactCGI and some kind of MapScript(PHP in my case) What is the best for performance? Is there more productive way? Regards.
