Hi Andrew, It looks like this is hard-coded to be set to 1 if missing (there is a comment that it is up to the server what to do if FEATURECOUNT is not provided). You could handle this at the web server level with a URL rewrite to add FEATURECOUNT to any GetFeatureInfo request where it is missing.
