There are significant gotchas when upgrading from such an old version. Specifically you had better check your mapfile because 4.6 enforces many mapfile syntax rules that were kind of loose in older versions. If you did not follow the spec exactly when writing your mapfiles you'll definitely run into these kinds of problems.
