Thank you for all the help that has been given to me for all this time.
I hope I am not wrong in understanding that all the clients available
such as p.mapper or GDV can be used only with static map files. Is it
possible to use these clients with dynamically generated map files using
phpmapscript.
I have used the examples from the mapserver user conference 2004 for
creating dynamic map files and they are rendered without any trouble.
The reason I need to generate the map file dynamically is because I need
to plot the localities of a species using a species_id. This forms my
variable in phpmapscript which is fed using a form. I wanted p.mapper or
gdv client also to take such a value and generate the map.
Is there an alternate pathway to it. I know this is a mapserver user
group but thought that someone may have used one of these clients and
may like to share their opinions with me. The reason I do not wish to go
for developing my own client right now is the usual - no time : ) and
tight deadlines.
