Tried using that projection in the top MAP section of the .MAP file, then
put PROJECTION
 "AUTO"
END
In each layer section, strangely now the maps don’t show anything.
When I don’t specify any map projection settings, I get it to show in rougly
the correct position just slightly warped.. As soon as I start trying to
change the projections I get nothing. Sadly I was hoping it was going to be
quite straightforward this problem... :(

Hi Dave,

The list provided me with this projection info a couple weeks ago. I am
using it successfully to draw mapserv images which overlay on top of Google
maps.

  PROJECTION
    "proj=merc"
    "lat_ts=0.0"
    "lon_0=-90.0"
    "x_0=0.0"
    "y_0=0.0"
    "ellps=GRS80"
    "no_defs"
  END

John
