Did yo try escaping the &'s and ='s in the URL you are passing? Also, I believe the EMPTY tag does support some template substitution so you may simply be able to do something like:

I think it was getting confused with the same parameters appearing. (I now have a work around where I have an HTTP handler, which checks if the contentType result is "text/html", then call the mode=map url instead of nquerymap, but this still seems an unnecessary step) Incidentally the imgext parameter doesn't seem to work, is the only option to use the imgbox parameter with pixels?
