Version 4.8-beta2 does contain support for rotated symbols. It is based on a
contribution
from MapMedia (a German Company) that I have been working to integrate.
Truetype and
vector symbols work now but there are still bugs when rotating pixmap
symbols. That
should be fixed in the next release. You can use either the STYLE ANGLE
parameter or the
STYLE ANGLEITEM parameter to do this.
