Bart's original question was asking about the foundation's plan to do something about a map file generator/convertor. I would hope that all projects that are part of the foundation could find common tasks like this to work on. Wouldn't it be great if all the foundation projects were as interoperable as possiblwe? This is one of those cases where it would really help. Common projects like this could then be worked on through a mini sub-project or working group made up of people from the various projects. Anyway, just some ideas that I have about how things could theoretically work in the future.
