I would like to enable smaller contributions, despite the fact that
the majority will probably come from larger coorperate sponsership.
For instance I have a very small side business and would be very
interested in contributing an anual donation (roughly equivilant to
the maintainance fee of a certain Internet Mapping Software).
Developing a way to recognize the contributions (financial or
technical) of smaller doners can really help keep interest up (just
ask PBS)
I really think we need to empower some people to get in a room
and come up with a coherent plan that they find reasonable, and
then bring that back to the community for comment.
Excellent idea, if only we all lived in the same town... :-)
