Thanks for the quick reply.
I tried your method by passing the countrymap in the query as given below and added the status of the layer as default in the map file.
http://localhost/cgi-bin/mapserv.exe?map=/ms4w/apps/sdocountry/sdocountry.map&layers=countrymap&mode=map
Now an error message is generated while running the above query as
msDrawMap(): Image handling error. Failed to draw layer named 'countrymap'.
msOracleSpatialLayerOpen(): OracleSpatial error. OracleSpatial is not supported
Please support me to solve the problem.
