Anybody know how to use an image off the web as a map layer?
I'm thinking of an image that's updated periodically - such as:

Ideas? (simple ideas?)

Hi Mark,

You can treat this image as if it was a RASTER data source. You will need to download the image locally and then create a world file for it. I suspect the RASTER howto would be of assistance.

If you are looking for raw visible and infrared satellite data for the US, my page might be of assistance.
