The clue i missed was that the environment variable ms_errorfile shoul
be a System Variable and not a User Variable
So now i have a logfile. Thanks for the tips

yes but there is nothing much in it
Is the disk 'd:' a 'real disk' disk and not a mapped one?
yes all normal
