Hi, In http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=1435 i was proposing that msOGRGetAutoStyle should change only the settings that exist in the data source and have a suitable value. However i did not look into it in more detail and how to achieve this.
Another problem with the current autostyle implementation is the delay loading of the style if the layer is not displayed at a given scale, so the legend does not reflect theese styles until the first shape is rendered.
