You
need to install the Oracle client libraries (which include OCI), not Oracle
server.
The
easiest you can use is the Oracle instant client which is less than 100 Mb and
can just be deployed by unpacking a ZIP. You also need the Instant
Client SDK then for the header files. Check the Oracle
site.
Best

Bart

Onderwerp: [UMN_MAPSERVER-USERS] compile MapServer to support Oracle SpatialHi there,I am now trying to compile MapServer to support Oracle Spatial, I find the info in the nmake.opt:#~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
# Direct connectivity to Oracle Spatial.
# ----------------------------------------------------------------------
# Point this to where your ORACLE_HOME directory lives.
#~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ORACLE_DIR = d:\oracle\ora92
ORACLE=-DUSE_ORACLESPATIALdoes this mean that I must install Oracle on my computer, before I compile the MapServer? If not necessary, how can I set theORACLE_DIR = value? set it as a virtual directory?thankszhonghai
