Hi Steve I was reading the section about "Terminology Cleanup" (MS RFC 26) seeing that some terms such as MINSCALE will be replaced by ugly terms like MinScaleDenom ... Someone really being picky about terms there. As there is no such thing as a scale on screen I'd suggest to call it PseudoMinScaleDenom to be really finicky about that ;-) ...
What I however really hope for, is that the old and completely understandable terms will be supported forever. I am not keen to go and have to adopt hundreds and hundreds of MapFiles just because someone out there is picky about terms. And I am sure lots of users out there agree with me. So PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE support the old terms forever as stated as option in MS RFC 26. Should this become a new RFC? Upwards Compatibility Assurance?
