This would work, but any zipcodes and city names would not be printed
'under' the county name. I set the county name to 3 or 4 inches high.
Using a 'hollow' or outline font, the name is not obvious unless you look
for it.
A work-around is using a sheet fed plotter. Print the map, with the
exception of the county names, with 'prevent overlaps' on. Take the map
and feed it back into the plotter. Now turn everything off except the
county names, and print. You will have zipcodes and city names not
overlapped, and the large county names printed over any zipcodes and city
names. Because a hollow font was used, the zipcodes and city names will
still be readable.
When you feed the same shhet of paper into the plotter a second time, the
position will not be *exactly* the same as the first time. However, that
will not be a problem. Lets say the map is 24 x 36 inches, and the second
position is off by a quarter of an inch. Picture a map of just counties
and names. Would having the names off by a 1/4 inch be that noticable?
