I can't replicate it either. I've seen the problem turn on, and off, and
on, and off again, and on, and for the life of me, I can't figure out when
it happens, and when it doesn't. But when it's not working, it doesn't
work. The line, and the whole bounding box around it turns white. Same
issue with a map legend bug which Caliper couldn't replicate. It was
_really_ there, but now, my map legend works fine.
Gremlins. What can I say?
Next time I have this problem, I'll try to figure out what I was doing
when it happens.
Okay: I figured it out:
I press the arrow in the map editing box, and it whites out when I edit
the line. I press redraw, try again, and even if I don't have that arrow
pressed, it still happens. So I go to my new endpoint layer, then back to
my new line layer, and I'm okay again, with the caveat that ALL items in
the Map Editing toolbar are now grayed out, until... well I can't figure
it all out. All I know is sometimes things don't work right, and there's
no redraw keyboard key that works when the window is active.
