Philip,
Thank you much. Indeed what I did was stuff all of my tables in one
file, that was the quick and dirty. It works for what I am presently
doing, but will have to use the other path when I have to do separate
db files for each table.

I am going to move to MySQL anyhow, and that will take care of that
issue (I hope) Access keeps on doing other weird things that are at
best small bother, and at worst really bring out the worst in the
product. But for now it is quick and I can see my changes on the map
without having to do a lot.
