Mark,

Maptitude comes with a rail layer that includes designated commuter and 
rapid transit lines nationwide (see the "passenger" field in this layer). I 
don't know anything offhand about the quality and recency of this layer (at 
least 2000 for sure), but I am sure it is in your Maptitude documentation.
