We've printed maps from maptitude 8 feet by 13 feet.

The big printer had to do it in two strips then we taped them together.

The map covered 1000+ sq miles and had the property owners names printed in
all parcels over 15 acres.  A point I'd like to make is that the labels were
placed
using a macro I built and were forced to remain at the fixed size for the
printing.  The point size was
very small (since the entire 1000 sq miles were on the computer monitor at
one time) and dynamically
computed for each parcel.  When the printer blew-up the image, the names
were legible.
