Sounds like you're going to have to build the map yourself Minju, but no fear, it'll be easy. The best thing to do is to create a new map using the Maptitude Map Wizard; if you don't have one created.

The nice thing about Maptitudes Map Wizard is that it gives you a number of map types to create. In your case I recommend choosing the ZIP Code map. This should create a nice street level basemap centered on you ZIP Code, you can then zoom out to your desired area.  Then use the Thematic Map Wizard to create thematic map you want, this can be done by making the ZIP code layer active and then select from the pull down menus: [Map] - [Color Theme], select the field you want color coded and the distribution range.

I've over simplified this process but hopefully it's enough to get you started. I'm not overly familiar with the Map Librarian but I think you can create a themed map, save it and then add it to the Librarian if you wanted.

Hello all,

How do I access census demographic files by zip? Among other things, I was looking for median incomes and ages for zip codes in Oakland, CA. I was not able to find them in the Map Librarian.

Obviously, I'm a Maptitude newbie. I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Minju
