Have you tried the AddLayer() command? It is supposed to work with both .dbd and .cdf files.

Does anyone know if it's possible to open one of these (specifically
a .dbd file) using GISDK? Looks like you can open pretty much every
other kind (map, text, layout, workspace, etc) but not the geographic
file. I guess I could do it via openmap but I don't need all the other
layers if there's another way...
