Chris,

Oops! It was my mistake, I apologize. Sometimes I mix up this things as for georeferencing a TIFF image Maptitude does a rubber-sheeting process on the vectors at the same time as it scale and position the image properly. But anyway, Jason Black is right, the option is there both in version 4.6 and 4.7, I have just checked. It seems to me that you are using and old pre-4.6 version (I do not remember if this option started with 4.5 or 4.6). Then it does not matter if you use a CDF or DBD or whatever, as Maptitude will create a new version of the Geographic File with the transformation points you decide to use. By the way, is wise to save the control points in case something goes wrong or you want to test the transformation with more or less points.

I hope that this time I have been helpful. Best regards,

Reinaldo

Reinaldo,

I don't believe that Rubbersheeting only works on images.  According to the Manual   pp464  'If you need to make adjustments to the position and shapes of many map features in a geographic file.......'

Another item that was not mentioned in the original statement, I did export the file to a  'Standard Geographic File' before trying to do any of  the rubbersheeting.

Did try a few times to run it on the old machine and 4.6   it did start  but each time it  got to 'processing polygons'  1%    the program shut down.     While looking at the version in 4.7   I see the date is   July 8, 2004.   Isn't  it about time for an  up-d8 ....???     ;-0

Dear Chris:

Try using the Option Imagery on the Tools menu. You can see it there (inactive), under Routing, the only problem is that Rubbersheeting in Maptitude only works on images...

Good luck,

Reinaldo
