Here is how I do this (maybe not the best way but it always works!):

See Chapter 12 "locating your data on a Map" in the manual. (I'm sure
that step-by-step instructions are bettter than what I write below.
Mostly, I can describe the process that I use, but your situation will
be a little different.)

First, I always keep my address lists in MS Access because that's where
I manage them. Before you take the next step, create a new column/
field in your data list for the census tract name. Make sure the field
is the correct type so you can write the tract name into it.

Then, I "open" an ODBC connection to my database from within Maptitude
so I can get my addresses on to the map. You may be able to open an
excel file via an ODBC link-- I'm not sure--I've never tried that. If
you can't open your excel file from within maptitude via ODBC, then you
can import your excel file into Maptitude, which becomes a Dataview.

Once you've got your address list into Maptitude, use
the "Tools/Locate/Locate by Address" command to locate each address in
the Dataview on the map. This will create a new geographic data file
(I find the process works much better if each of your records has a
unique ID.)

Once you have located all of your records (you may have to locate some
by pointing or by the centroid of the zipcode), you need to make sure
the census tract layer is "live" and visible.

Then, use "Edit/Fill" command to create an expression to write the name
of the census tract into the blank column you created for that purpose
in the step above.

Then, export your file back to Excel or just close the ODBC link.

(If this wasn't helpful; you don't want to learn; etc., and if your
list is really really short, send it to me and I'll do it for you.)
