Hi, Sorry no solution, just to reply that we also struggle with MrSID and images in general. We use the LO system in South Africa and to get around display problems we have to edit Maptitude's world file that stores all the parameters for coordinate systems. We search for the LO to use and then change south to north. That usally cures the ache!
For long lat images we still struggle. Sometimes we don't get the error, but nothing is displayed, even if the layer shows under layers! Sometimes it works to open a vector layer in the area of the image and then goto layers>add layer and add the MrSID.
