Hi Group: The detailed 2010 Census data will not be available until the end of February. This is the usual (about-one-year) delay between the taking of the census and the reporting of the detailed results. The state totals just came out today, which may have prompted this thread.
As an aside, the 2010 Census only asked the short-form questions, which cover variables such as age, gender, race, and Hispanic origin. Last Tuesday, the 2009 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year data came out. This is an average of the years 2005-2009, and is the replacement for the 2000 Census long-form questions, which include social, economic, housing, and additional demographic variables. We are preparing the ACS 2009 5-year data, and will make them part of the layers of tracts, counties, states, etc. We will provide updates on our progress and on the provision of these data.
