Often times, when faced with a problem, we programmers dive into coding
and forget that a simpler solution to a problem is available using the
standard interface.

Kjartan email is an opportune reminder of the kind of habits programmers
pick up during in our job :) :)

As a rule, before coding a loop through the records of a layer or dataview,
see if the same result can be achieved in terms of one or more formula
fields.
