Hi Steve,
Viktor is totally right. I did use that workaround for years, and it
solves smoothly many problems, not only the resolution one though. For
instance, that was the only way we got to prepare and print a layout of
oversize maps, as you can set the CutePDF printer to any known, or
custom, print size, produce your PDF and then take it to print out of
your environment without troubles with printer drivers or other related
problems.
Good luck!

Hey Steve,
This has been an issue for quite some time, not sure if Maptitude
6.0 address this issue by supplying an export to PDF feature or
not. But the old work around that was passed around through this
forum some time ago was to download the free or shareware version
of a PDF printer. The one recommend was called "CutePDF", if you
google it you'll get it 2nd or 3rd down the list.
Install it and you will have a PDF printer, so then you would
simply print your layout as though you would for a hard copy.
Except you select "CutePDF" as your printer, it also allows you to
select the quality of your output (150 / 300/ 600 DPI). After it
process your layout, it ask you were you would like to save you
PDF. Hope this helps and good luck.

[Maptitude] Mapt 5.0: How to get a High Res. map image in Layout?
Hi,
I'm trying to create a high-quality layout in 5.0 and am hitting a
wall..
While it's easy enough to export a map file at high resolution
(300 DPI for a .png), how do I get this same level of resolution
in my layouts?
Any guidance / advice would be greatly appreciated.
Steve
