After tweaking the selection sets, I do convert them using the Merge by Values 
tools. In fact, to get around the 512 limit in the past, I simply divided those 
large jobs by geographical region (though getting it done as one large job 
would save a lot of steps).

I'll try the DK solution first chance I get. Thanks for all your help!!!!
