[Maptitude] Problem when opening maps twice

I'm having some troubles when I try to open the same map twice.
I'm developing an application with GISDK and in some occasions the same map
will be open twice at the same time. So, if the user makes a selection in
one of two maps, the selection will be made in the two maps because the
layer names are equals.
Is there some solution to this problem? Or, if there isn't, how Maptitude
works with the layer names when the user open a map twice?
