You are absolutely correct, and thank you for your detailed and accurate
descriptions. There is no functionality because, in this case, the map
exported is an image layer.
Would the following work for you: Export your entire point layer to
KML/KMZ, add it to Google Earth, and then use the Google Earth Image
toolbox to synchronize the location of the  Google Earth window with
that shown in Maptitude?
