I'm able to successfully mask the continental United States in order to insert it into documents. But when I try masking Hawaii, using the same Freehand method, I have a problem.
After applying the mask, the islands revert to the lower right hand side of the screen where they appear when first loaded. See the attached .jpg for how this cuts off half of the big island, Hawaii. What am I doing wrong here?! Alternatively, is there an easier way to include Alaska and Hawaii data when mapping all 50 states? I was assuming I had to do the continental US first, mask it, then go back and separately mask Alaska. Then I've been creating a 2nd map of Hawaii only under the assumption I would have to add Alaska and Hawaii as separate .jpgs. Many thanks, -D
