The "best" location may or may not have an equal division of customers among the reps.
Try "Partitioning a Network" and look at the pattern with just the two existing reps, and then select locations for a 3rd rep and do this again. This may need to be done a number of times. Also try "Click Bands" with two of the points the locations of your current reps. Select locations for a 3rd rep and see how the divisions look. There will likely be a difference between the road distance and as-the-crow-flies methods, however it will give you good insight as to what should work well. Consider for the new rep location items such as access to highways and proximity to best customers. You may contact me if you have further questions on this. Suppose I have a list of customers' addresses and also the addresses of two sales reps. Is there a way in Maptitude to determine the best location for a new sales rep (so 3 total) and/or a way to equally divide up the customers?
