Yes, they are. Probably the quickest fix would be to use the "Style Editors" plugin supplied by Caliper: http://www.caliper.com/Maptitude/GISDK/StyleEditors.htm Once you've fired up the plugin, this instruction should make sense: use "line editor" function to change the "width" setting on the "perpendicular" lines.
