Hi,

Now I have a question related to the same research project mentioned on the previous message. We have performed a polygon overlay (graphic), using the very same Add On shared by Peter Van Demark several years ago (1996). So far I have not found a way to perform a graphic polygon overlay on any Maptitude version without that beautiful program! The thing that is needed is: Once overlaid a bunch of census tracts on top of bigger areas, we would need to "transfer" all the population values of the census tracts to the new areas produced by the intersection, but not only the population which is proportionally calculated by the intersected areas but the whole amount of it withing the census tract full boundaries. When the census tracts are totally contained on the bigger areas that is what happens, the problem starts when a part or parts of the census tracts are cut by the other area layer. Is there a way to do that with Maptitude user interface or do we have to create a GisDK program to acquire the desired results?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion or tip you might have to help. Cheers,

Reinaldo
