Marble Maps is optimized for touch interfaces. Currently Android, but
Plasma Mobile might follow. It's useful on the Desktop mostly for
developers to verify compilation outside Android and to test things
without deploying to a mobile device. It doesn't add any value to
Desktop end-users at the moment, so I guess it shouldn't be packaged.

it appears that marble master by default builds marble-maps but
marble-maps doesn't install any metadata to speak of (no desktop file
nor appstream file) rendering the application pretty inaccessible as
far as users are concerned. What's the plan here? Assuming it's due
for release with the next major apps release I think it would be good
to get metadata added promptly, lest it gets forgotten until release
:)
